During the previous days, the public relations office of the Baha’is [1] of America [2] has reported about its participation at a social project called “Beacon project”.
The project has been planned to preach Social hope, to increase people’s senses of responsibility and to strengthen national unity in the United States and has gathered data from more than 60.000 60,000 people in four countries during 7 years.
According to the office of the Baha’is of America, this project has been planned to create a community in which each person possesses the opportunity of a purposeful and prosperous life and has the responsibility to help people in this path.
The Baha’i organization view towards the social and national issues in America is strengthening the cultural and political discipline of America.
Participating at such projects regulating Federal and state laws displays a narration from Bahaism which is defending convergence, civil interaction, participating at narration making based on unity and strengthening the American common identity.
However, this law-abiding figure which is seeking for participation and unity is fundamentally different from the function of the followers of the deviant cult of Bahaism in Iran.
The Baha’i organization inside Iran not only possesses encountering approach against the system of the government of the Islamic Republic, but also is active in weakening the social integrity and increasing public disfavor contrary to its universal claim for “the lack of meddling in policy”.
While in the united states, participating at social project strengthens the sense of citizens’ attachment to their country. In Iran, media and organizational measures is mainly organized by bolding failures, being disappointed with the future, inducing an image of extensive crisis, and being distrustful with the governmental foundations.
This remarkable difference in behavior and speech indicates that the function of the Baha’i organization is following the political relationships and strategic profits with host governments not with the permanent principles.
The Baha’i followers in America are trying to strengthen the ruling foundations, to avoid bipolarization and to preach common narration about the future of the country; but in Iran, those foundations and policies are portrayed as barriers for freedom, progress and unity.
In other word, the arrogant organization Bahaism in the united states of America is speaking about the unity path, moral factor and group attempts by making common future.
However; in Iran, this dialogue is substituted by narrating “making victims”, “religious repression”, “and “violating human rights”. A narration which is in the same path of American government policies against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Such behavior not only doesn’t indicate a kind of dual standard, but also is a symbol of structural bond of the Baha’i organization with the western powers and playing the active role in media cultural projects.
Projects which is superficially possessing social activities, but in practice they are a part of the process of reproducing the desired discipline of the west in aimed countries.
In this view; although “Beacon project” has been defined in a scientific and social, but it is reflecting more extensive mechanism in which the Baha’i organization is not merely a religious foundation, but it is considered as an active actor in the soft battlefield of power. An actor that sets its role based on the host country benefits.
Eventually, the contradictory behavior of Bahaism in America and Iran not only creates serious questions about the universal claims honesty of this creed, but the political nature which is related to the universal power structures will be revealed more than before.
