In this writing, the Baha’i sources have been investigated in order for the Baha’i views concerning this historical event to be known. It is said in the book “the heavenly food”, vol.2, p. 14, chapter 7 stressing on Qadir event by Abdul Baha [1]:
The answer to the question about Qadir Khom in Agha Muhammad Ali Kashani Nazel’s tablet:
“It had been asked about Qadir Khom [2]. The tale of Qadir khom is that in the last Hajj of the holy prophet (P.H.), he took Imam Ali’s (P.H.) belt and raised and said in Qader Khom where was a place between Medina and Mecca:
“ایها الناس من كنت مولاه فهذا على مولاه. اللهم وال من والاه و عاد من عاداه و انصر من نصره و اخذل من خذله”
“O’ people, whoever I am his/her guardian, then Ali is his/her guardian. O’ God, love him/her who loves him and hate him/her who hates him, and help him/her who helps him and do not help him/her who leaves him alone.”
Then, those Excellency all acknowledged and admired. Even, Omar said:
“بخ بخ لك يا على، لقد اصبحت مولای و مولی کل مؤمن و مؤمنة”
“Well done, well done to you, Ó Ali, for you have truly become my guardian and the guardian of every male and female faithful people.”
However, he forgot.
Here, Abdul Baha frankly stresses that the holy prophet (P.H.) introduced formally as guardian of people after himself like his guardianship in the presence of Muslims, and people like Omar Ibn Khatab congratulated him for this position, too. However, they forgot later on.
So, the holy prophet (P.H.) frankly and directly introduced his successor to people. The surprising matter is that Abdul Baha has forgotten his matter and rejected it in another place and said the holy prophet (P.H.) just spoke in brief in Qadir:
“… And in Qadir Khom in Muhammadan sunrise, he stated in brief:
“من كنت مولاه فهذا على مولاه“
Whoever I am his/her guardian, then Ali is his/her guardian.” (Makatib, vol. 1, p.342).
Were the gathering of one hundred and twenty people in Qadir Khom and the detailed sermon of the holy prophet to announce Imam Ali’s (P.H.) caliphate and that population’s pledges in three days with the commander of the faithful and congratulations like Omar’s and Hesan Ib Sabet’s poems the brief statement?!
More interestingly; it is honored in the Baha’i texts that their succession issue is better than other religions and is not brief like Qadir!
Abdul Baha says: “Bahaullah introduced his successor [that is Abdul Baha] very frankly in order not to remain any doubt for people”, but he doesn’t say Bahaullah frankly determined the second person who was Muhammad Ali, Abdul Baha’s brother. (The collection of tablets after the book Aghdas, Ahdi book, the publishing house of the faith works Persian and Arabic languages, 1st edition, 137 Badi’a: Germany, p. 136). So, why did Abdul Baha doubted and put him aside in order not to have any rival?!
Also, Abdul Bata doesn’t say when he made a will he said the successors of Shoghi Effendi must be male and why wasn’t he able to predict that Shoghi was basically abortive and didn’t have any offspring?! Was the holy prophet’s succession in Qadir brief and Bahaullah’s one detailed?!! Judge.
