The universal house of justice, the universal center of the Baha’i community [4] stressed on the key role of family in proceeding the Baha’i community aims in the message of 29th of Isfand [5] 1403 S.H.
This message which has been published in the framework of “9-year plan” and community making ones introduces family as the basis of social transformation.
The Key bases of the message:
I) Family as the base of community:
– Family is the base of social discipline and the first pole of moral and spiritual growth. The health of community has been directly dependent on the health of families.
Stressing on the necessity for creating new model of family life according to the requirement of humane maturity era.
II) The Baha’i marriage:
– Marriage has been defined as a “spiritual physical bond” having mundane and otherworldly consequences.
– The principle of the equality between men and women has been introduced as the main basis of marital relationships.
The Baha’i marriage must be ended in the participation of both sides in “the Baha’i community programs.”
III) The duties of the Baha’i family:
– Educating kids based on the Baha’i teachings
– Serving the Baha’i organization completely
– Active participation at community making plans
– Avoiding traditional bigotries (including chastity and national chastity zeal)
– Paying financial fees (faith fees, divine duties)
IV) practical instructions:
– Executing the Baha’i trainings in the family
– Turning the Baha’i house into “the spiritual guidance and light center”.
– Consulting in family decisions
– Making models for other families in morality and social behavior
Content Analysis:
The current message introduces family as a means for proceeding the organizational aims of the deviant cult of Bahaism not as a means of an independent foundation.
Remarkable Notes:
– Stressing on the necessity for total family concord with the orders of the organization
– Negating independent identity of family confronting organization desires
– Encouraging the interruption of traditional dependences and replacing it with being loyal with the organization
– Giving priority to the personal needs of family members rather than the Baha’i community aims
