Mid 1330s; at the same time with the imposed entrance of the western manifestations into Iran and the expansion of the Jewish and the Baha’is influence on the political and economic pillars of the Shah regime such as TV., Saderat Bank [1], Pepsi Cola and etc., their representative called “Mahdi Mithaghieh entered into the arena of providing and distributing film in Iran depending on his father’s unearned wealth and in imitating Turkish and Indian cinemas. playing multi-grade roles as his fist acts, he built and a studio having all equipment and competed other producers who had ever entered into the Iranian cinema domain.
Mahdi Mithaghieh was known as one of the notable producers of the Persian film cinema during the years 1336 S.H. to 1356 S.H. using his father’s wealth and the field provided by the Shah regime for the influence of Baha’is in the cultural and economic pillars of the Iranian cinema. Although he tried to confront against the national cinema in order to create the front of so-called artistic films alongside with Persian one producing pseudo-intellectualism, but obscene productions such as “naked until noun quickly” (Khosrow Haritash – 1353 S.H.) or Balouch (Masoud Kimiyaee) made him be dismissed from the group of Persian film cinema producers, too and caused him just to own cinema at the end of his activities.
Mahdi Mithaghieh which is considered as one of the most influential international Zionism agents to direct the cinema prior the revolution, was the offspring of Abdul Mithagh of the known Baha’is who had entered into the arena of providing and producing films having anti-Islamic subjects and were against religious holy things and beliefs helped by the court and based on the detailed plan of universal assemblies on of Zionism.
The first film which was provided by Mahdi Mithaghieh was “spending the night in hell” which was making fun of most religious beliefs about resurrection, the day of judgement and the desert of the deed and the divine justice court. Mithaghieh who supervised his studio production film himself changed the director of the film several times in order for the film the “spending the night in hell” to be made based on his view and he himself finished it, at last.
However, people expressed their opposition and rage against displaying those films which had humiliated their beliefs. There is a report from the police of the country dated Bahman 2, 1336 S.H. in the documents of the presidency foundation remained from the ex-prime minister that the continuation of displaying the film called “spending the night in the hell was prevented. A part of a letter which had been written by a group of religious people whose copy have been sent for Manouchehr Eghbal (the then prime minister) and Sardar Fakher (the representative of Fars in the royal parliament) is as follows:
“… displaying the film called “spending the night in the hell” which was insulted the religious and holy beliefs of Muslims injured the hearts of whole religious and pious people of Shiraz. We ask the related people in charge to prevent it …”
Answering to this letter; five days later, the head of the police of the country wrote to the prime minister to prevent displaying the film “spending the night in the hell”:
“… the Excellency, the prime minister… I respectfully submit that in accordance with your telephone order, the displaying of the film spending the night in hell was prevented…”

This taking position shows that when the totality of the Shah regime’s interests is endangered, they refused to sacrifice some of their agents or works. As a matter of fact, the mentioned actions mean the Shah’s regime didn’t oppose substantively against the films like “spending the night in hell”. The mentioned films were basically being produced by the formal agents of the regime based on discretion of intelligent and security service centers.
A regime which the agents of the deviant cult of Bahaism were active in the center of its managers and people in charge. According to documents, they were going to omit Islam and religious culture of people and couldn’t essentially oppose a film like “spending the night in the hell”.
Later on, the Shah had to obey Ayatollah Broujerdi’s order and will and ordered for Haziratul Qods in Tehran city to be destroyed. Or earlier 1340s, SAVAK suggested to cancel the Baha’is television belonged to Habib Sabet to prevent Muslim people’s anger with headship of the mere TV. channel of the country by the Baha’is and to transfer the Baha’i elements to another television by establishing it managed by non- Baha’is.
Additionally; establishing a studio equipped with laboratory and montage room and voice acting, Mithaghieh tried to influence on other producers’ films by serving them. His other films include: “Midnight shout”, (He made it with the Shah’s sweetheart called Parvin Ghaffari), “Prostitute” (which preached harlotry in the community) and “An Isfahani in New York”.
However, the active presence of Mithaghieh which had taken charge by the Zionistic center to confront against Islam can be seen in films such as ” Mohalleh” and “Hakim Bashi” (both by Nosrat Karimi educated in thought training organization).
The films which were mocking the Islamic commandments to such an extent that Master Motahhari had to answer back Nosrat Karimi and Mahdi Mithaghieh’s nonsenses in some issues of one of publications of those days. Meanwhile, producing a film called “naked till noon quickly”, Mahdi Mithaghieh displayed the obscenest films of the history of Iranian cinema.
The severely corrupted scenes of the film were to such an extent that Mithaghieh himself hesitated to display it due to public anger, so he postponed it for 2 years and then he displayed it in his cinema (Capri / Bahman) in silence. He had experienced the obscene scenes of this film in one of his other films called Blouch” made by Masoud Kimiyaee in which he omitted the scenes for the fear of public anger. Meantime, just faithful and religious people couldn’t stand the above-mentioned actions and stood strongly against them directed and guided by clergymen.
