Grand Mufti of India – Janab Abdullah Bukhari<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A question was posed to the grand mufti of the Jame Masjid in Delhi, Janab Abdullah Bukhari Sahab about the concept of the advent of another prophet after the Holy Prophet of Islam (pbuh). The question expressly asked his view on the Bahai Faith and the permissibility of marrying a Bahai.<\/p>\n

In his reply, the Grand Mufti said, “The person who accepts the coming of another prophet after the Holy Prophet of Islam (pbuh) is a Kafir. The Holy Prophet of Islam is the last prophet and messenger. This is proved from the Holy Quran and from traditions of the Holy Prophet (pbuh). The one who believes other than this is Kafir.<\/p>\n

The Bahai Faith is also considered as Kafir by scholars. Thus marrying a man or woman from the Bahai Faith is not correct from the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat.<\/p>\n

I have concluded that the Ottoman government strengthened a cult supported by Kazem Rashti<\/a> called Sheikism to create disunity among Sunnis and Shias. No Shia researcher finds an identity for Kazem Rashiti except for being “Russian … Seyyed Ali Muhammad Shirari<\/a>, Seyyed Kazem Rashti’s pupil claimed for being Imam of the Time of Shias and established Babism out of which Bahalism cult was emerged, hated by Shias. Concerning the deviant cult of Baha’ism, it shouldn’t be forgotten that the Shia scholars opposed sheikism, Babism and Baha’ism. It should be paid attention that the cult maker Britain created Baha’ism for Shia as it made wahliabism for Sunnis as calamity.<\/p>\n

Islam is a religion that abrogates all previous religions, and it is the seal of religions as God says: “Whoso desired any other religion than Islam, that religion shall never be accepted from him, and in the next world he shall be among the lost”

Baha\u2019i as a creed [or a sect] is out of Islam and has nothing to do with Islam, rather it is contradicting and destroying whatever Islam has brought<\/u>.<\/p>\n

Knowing this, the International Islamic Fiqh Academy [Islamic Theology Council] of the Organization of Islamic Conference (Tunis is a member in the Academy and the organization), at its fourth meeting in Jeddah on 11th February 1988, decided that Baha\u2019i is a disbelief in Islam and is aiming at undermining its doctrine, laws, and a way of life (the academy magazine, Issue no. 4, Volume 3, p.2189).<\/p>\n

Sheikh Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah Bin Baz \u2013 the grand Mufti of the Saudi Arabia<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Shaykh Ibn Baaz<\/a> (may Allaah have mercy on him) also issued another fatwa stating that the Baha\u2019is are kaafirs. He was asked about the views of Baha\u2019-Allaah who claimed to be a Prophet, and also claimed that Allaah was incarnated in him. Is it permissible for the Muslims to bury these kaafirs in the Muslim graveyards?<\/p>\n

He replied:
\nIf the beliefs of the Baha\u2019is are as you say, then undoubtedly they are kaafirs and it is not permissible to bury them in the Muslim graveyards, because anyone who claims to be a Prophet after our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is a liar and a disbeliever according to the texts of sharee\u2019ah and the consensus of the Muslims, and because this is disbelief in the words of Allaah (interpretation of the meaning):<\/p>\n

\u201cMuhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allaah and the last (end) of the Prophets\u201d
\n[al-Ahzaab 33:40]<\/p>\n

And because there are mutawaatir reports from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stating that he is the Seal of the Prophets and there is no Prophet after him. Similarly the one who claims that Allaah is incarnated in him or in any other creature is a kaafir according to the consensus of the Muslims, because Allaah, may He be glorified, is not incarnated in any of His creatures; rather He is greater and mightier than that. Whoever believes that is a kaafir according to the consensus of the Muslims, and he is denying the verses and ahaadeeth that say that Allaah is above the Throne, and He is above all His creation. He, may He be glorified, is the Most High, the Great and there is none like unto Him or comparable to Him. He described Himself to His slaves as follows (interpretation of the meaning):<\/p>\n

\u201cIndeed, your Lord is Allaah, Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and then He rose over (Istawa) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty)\u201d
