{"id":5738,"date":"2022-04-26T08:16:54","date_gmt":"2022-04-26T04:46:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/?p=5738"},"modified":"2022-04-26T08:17:11","modified_gmt":"2022-04-26T04:47:11","slug":"lisa-armstrong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/?p=5738&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Lisa Armstrong"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was a Baha\u2019i for more than 40 years before I withdrew from the<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bah%C3%A1%CA%BC%C3%AD_Faith\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Baha\u2019i faith<\/a> in March 2019.<\/p>\n<p>My disappointment was especially strong in 1982, when I felt that the individuals within that Assembly had been unjustly wronged, saw their families practically destroyed, as well as that they were never the same.<br \/>\nYet in my heart I knew that something was rotten at the core of the Baha\u2019i faith. I saw it becoming more and more political, more emphasis placed on wealth and power, as well as a vast difference in the approach of the national administration in the 80s 90s and 2000s as compared to the 1970s.<\/p>\n<p>It took me almost a decade to officially withdraw my belief in the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bah%C3%A1%CA%BC%C3%AD_Faith\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Baha\u2019i faith<\/a>, but I finally did, and I have felt so much better ever since!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was a Baha\u2019i for more than 40 years before I withdrew from the Baha\u2019i faith in March 2019.
