Take ye hold of the precepts of God with all your strength and power, and abandon the ways of the ignorant. Should ye condemn the arsonist and the murderer to life imprisonment, it would be permissible according to the provisions of the Book. He, verily, hath power to ordain whatsoever He pleaseth.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: <a href=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/?p=4127&amp;lang=en\">Baha\u2019u\u2019llah<\/a>, The Kit\u0101bi Aqdas, p. 203.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/?p=4127&amp;lang=en\">Baha\u2019u\u2019llah<\/a> announces that arsons who destroy a house are to be burned alive or alternatively they can be imprisoned for life. No conditions have been specified whatsoever about the severity and extremity of the offence that will lead to this punishment. This law must be implemented irrespective of anyone dying as a result of this fire. This law is so harsh and illogical that in the complementary notes of the Book of Aqdas, the following explanation has been added:<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong>The details of the Baha\u2019i law of punishment for murder and arson, a law designed for a future state of society, were not specified by Baha\u2019u\u2019llah. The various details of the law, such as degrees of offence, whether extenuating circumstances are to be taken into account, and which of the two prescribed punishments is to be the norm are left to the Universal House of Justice to decide in light of prevailing conditions when the law is to be in operation. The manner in which the punishment is to be carried out is also left to the Universal House of Justice to decide. In relation to arson, this depends on what \u201chouse\u201d is burned. There is obviously a tremendous difference in the degree of offence between the person who burns down an empty warehouse and one who sets fire to a school full of children.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\n<h2 style=\"direction: ltr;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Earths_Age\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><u>Earth\u2019s Age<\/u><\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/?p=4127&amp;lang=en\">Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h<\/a> claims:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong>The learned men, that have fixed at several thousand years the life of this earth [the age of this world], have failed, throughout the long period of their observation, to consider either the number or the age of the other planets. Consider, moreover, the manifold divergencies that have resulted from the theories propounded by these men.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h, Gleanings from the Writings of Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h, p. 163. The original F\u0101rs\u012b quote can be found in Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h, Muntakhab\u0101t\u012b az \u0101th\u0101r \u1e24a\u1e0drat Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h, p. 109.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">What we have placed in square-brackets is the correct translation of the original Farsi text that has been distorted by the Baha\u2019i translation committee. There are more errors in the translation of this quote that we will ignore for now.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The fallacy in these words is that the learned men had noy fixed the age of the earth at several thousand years during Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h\u2019s life. The estimates ranged from tens of thousands to the millions. In the mid-eighteenth century, Russian scientist Mikhail Lomonosov\u2014widely viewed as the founder of modern Russian science\u2014concluded that earth had been created several hundred thousand years ago.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The French naturalist, Comte du Buffon, gave an estimate of 75000 years in 1779. The physicist, William Thomson of Glasgow, gave the estimate of between 20\u2013\u06f4\u06f0\u06f0 million years in 1862.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">These are estimates about the \u201cage of the earth.\u201d The original Farsi words used by Baha\u2019u\u2019llah translate to \u201cthe age of this world.\u201d Many scientists contemporary to Baha\u2019u\u2019llah believed that this world is eternal (not a few thousand years claimed by Baha\u2019u\u2019llah).<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\n<h2 style=\"direction: ltr;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bahaullahs_Opinion_About_the_Book_of_Bayan\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><u>Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h\u2019s Opinion About the Book of Bay\u0101n<\/u><\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">We showed in the previous sections the illogical and unreasonable orders uttered by the B\u0101b in the book of Bay\u0101n. Orders like beheading non-Babis, burning their books, destroying their monuments, massacring them, eating the leaves of trees, walking above the earth with legs, not consuming medicine, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">These instructions and orders are so inhumane, illogical, and unreasonable that they are never mentioned by Baha\u2019is. When approached by questions regarding these matters, they respond by saying B\u0101bism has been abrogated and what orders the <a href=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/?p=2160&amp;lang=en\">B\u0101b<\/a> gave, have nothing to do with Baha\u2019ism. Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h considers his own book the Aqdas as the abrogator of the Bay\u0101n:<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong>The book of Aqdas abrogates all the decrees of the book of Bay\u0101n . . . everyone\u2019s [religious] source is [now] the book of Aqdas not the book of Bay\u0101n. The decrees of the Bay\u0101n are [now] abrogated.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Asad-All\u0101h F\u0101\u1e0dil M\u0101zandar\u0101n\u012b, Asr\u0101r al-\u0101th\u0101r khu\u1e63\u016b\u1e63\u012b, vol. 2, p. 106.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Nevertheless, the author of this violent, irrational, and unreasonable book is considered as the Starting Point (nuqtiyi aul\u0101) and herald to Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h. Baha\u2019is celebrate his birth, rush to visit his shrine, and consider visiting his home (in Shiraz, Iran) to be like performing the Islamic Hajj. So how is it that they deny having any relation to the <a href=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/?p=2160&amp;lang=en\">B\u0101b<\/a>, and declare B\u0101bism to be abrogated? Furthermore, Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h had affirmed the status and position of the book of Bay\u0101n by telling his followers to refer to this book:<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong>Refer to it, for a letter from it will suffice the entirety of the people of the earth. And surely God has stated all things in the evident book.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Asad-All\u0101h F\u0101\u1e0dil M\u0101zandar\u0101n\u012b, Asr\u0101r al-\u0101th\u0101r khu\u1e63\u016b\u1e63\u012b, vol. 2, p. 102.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong>They have attributed to this Station (meaning Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h)\u2014by whose authority all [divine] Books speak\u2014 that he has abrogated the decrees of the Bay\u0101n. May the curse of God fall upon the unjust.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h, Iqtid\u0101r\u0101t wa chand lau\u1e25 d\u012bgar, p. 103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong>I swear to God that if an individual from the followers of the Bay\u0101n mentions the abrogation of that book, God will break the mouth of the speaker and defamer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Asad-All\u0101h F\u0101\u1e0dil M\u0101zandar\u0101n\u012b, Asr\u0101r al-\u0101th\u0101r khu\u1e63\u016b\u1e63\u012b, vol. 5, p. 333.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong>Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h had even stated that<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong>I [swear by] He who in His hand is my soul and my essence, a single letter from the Bay\u0101n is dearer to me than everything that is in the heavens and the earth.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Asad-All\u0101h F\u0101\u1e0dil M\u0101zandar\u0101n\u012b, Asr\u0101r al-\u0101th\u0101r khu\u1e63\u016b\u1e63\u012b, vol. 5, p. 333.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\n<h2 style=\"direction: ltr;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bahaullah_is_the_Creator_of_Multiple_Gods\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><u>Baha\u2019u\u2019llah is the Creator of Multiple Gods<\/u><\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Baha\u2019u\u2019llah claims:<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong>All Gods became Gods from the flow of my affairs and all Lords became Lords by the overflowing of my decree.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: `<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%CA%BBAbdu%27l-Bah%C3%A1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101<\/a>, Mak\u0101t\u012bb, vol. 2, p. 255.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">These words make no sense and are against reason and the teachings of all monotheistic religions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The punishment for Arson Is this law about arson logical?
