Thus, it logically follows that if B\u0101bism and Baha\u2019ism caused enmity and hatred, they are subject to `Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101\u2019s decree and their non-existence is preferred over their existence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">We will now proceed to show the many instances in which the B\u0101b\u012b and Baha\u2019i creeds became a cause of enmity, hatred, and divisions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\n<div id=\"ez-toc-container\" class=\"ez-toc-v2_0_71 counter-hierarchy ez-toc-counter ez-toc-light-blue ez-toc-container-direction\">\n<div class=\"ez-toc-title-container\">\n<p class=\"ez-toc-title\" style=\"cursor:inherit\">\u0622\u0646\u0686\u0647 \u062f\u0631 \u0627\u062f\u0627\u0645\u0647 \u0645\u06cc \u062e\u0648\u0627\u0646\u06cc\u062f<\/p>\n<span class=\"ez-toc-title-toggle\"><\/span><\/div>\n<nav><ul class='ez-toc-list ez-toc-list-level-1 ' ><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-2'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-1\" href=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/?p=7330&#038;lang=en\/#Internal_Disputes_in_the_Babi_and_Bahai_creeds\" title=\"Internal Disputes in the B\u0101b\u012b and Baha\u2019i creeds\">Internal Disputes in the B\u0101b\u012b and Baha\u2019i creeds<\/a><\/li><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-2'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-2\" href=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/?p=7330&#038;lang=en\/#Wars_during_the_Babs_Era\" title=\"Wars during the B\u0101b\u2019s Era\">Wars during the B\u0101b\u2019s Era<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n<h2 style=\"direction: ltr;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Internal_Disputes_in_the_Babi_and_Bahai_creeds\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Internal Disputes in the B\u0101b\u012b and Baha\u2019i creeds<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-4711\" src=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/bab-baha.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"263\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/bab-baha.jpg 480w, https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/bab-baha-300x231.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/bab-baha-130x100.jpg 130w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 263px) 100vw, 263px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The history of B\u0101bism and Baha\u2019ism is filled with various enmities and conflicts between their leaders and followers. Much can be said about each conflict, but we will only refer to a small number of them below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">The conflicts among the B\u0101b\u012bs over the title of Him Whom God Shall Make Manifest.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Twenty seven people among the B\u0101b\u012bs brought themselves forth as the Promised One in the Book of Bay\u0101n, such as M\u012brz\u0101 Ya\u1e25y\u0101 \u1e62ub\u1e25 Azal, M\u012brz\u0101 \u1e24usayn `Al\u012b N\u016br\u012b (<a href=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/?p=4127&amp;lang=en\">Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h<\/a>), M\u012brz\u0101 Asad-All\u0101h Dayy\u0101n, M\u012brz\u0101 Mu\u1e25ammad Nab\u012bl Zarand\u012b, M\u012brz\u0101 Ghugh\u0101 Darw\u012bsh, and Sayyid Ba\u1e63\u012br Hind\u012b.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">See Mu\u1e25ammad `Al\u012b Fay\u1e0d\u012b, \u1e24a\u1e0drat Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h, pp. 103\u2013\u06f1\u06f0\u06f4\u066b<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">The conflicts, feuds, and bloodshed between Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h and his brother M\u012brz\u0101 Ya\u1e25y\u0101 \u1e62ub\u1e25 Azal and their followers that resulted in the exile of the Azal\u012bs (the supporters of M\u012brz\u0101 Ya\u1e25y\u0101 \u1e62ub\u1e25 Azal) to Cyprus and the Baha\u2019is to Palestine.<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">The conflicts and clashes between `Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101 and his brother Mu\u1e25ammad `Al\u012b Effendi.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h had willed that his successor would be Ghu\u1e63n A`\u1e93am (`Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101\u2019) and after him Ghu\u1e63n Akbar (`Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101\u2019s brother Mu\u1e25ammad `Al\u012b): \u201cGod has destined the station [for] Ghu\u1e63n Akbar after his position (meaning `Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101\u2019), for He is the Commanding Wise. We chose the Akbar after the A`\u1e93am, an order from the All Knowing and Aware (God). All must show kindness towards the two Ghu\u1e63ns . . . All must respect and admire the two Ghu\u1e63ns,\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h, Majm\u016b`iy-i alw\u0101\u1e25-i mub\u0101rak-ih, pp. 302\u2013\u06f3\u06f0\u06f3\u066b<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">After Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h\u2019s death the two brothers differed on the amount of authority they had and fights ensued between them and their followers.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">The disputes and arguments between Shoghi and those who opposed his successorship.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">According to Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h\u2019s orders the successor after `Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101 was supposed to be his brother Ghu\u1e63n Akbar. `Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101 disobeyed this decree and instead appointed his own grandson Shoghi Effendi as his successor. This resulted in many differences and conflicts between Shoghi and many Baha\u2019is who didn\u2019t accept his authority.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">The dispute between R\u016b\u1e25iyyih Maxwell (Shoghi\u2019s widow) and the Hands of the Cause with Mason Remey, the then president of the International Baha\u2019i Council.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">In contrast to what `Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101 had prophesized, Shoghi was sterile and had no children to succeed him. In a bid to become his successor, an internal conflict erupted between Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h\u2019s followers. Amongst these conflicts, the most intense was the one between Shoghi\u2019s widow (R\u016b\u1e25iyyih Maxwell) and Mason Remey (President of the International Baha\u2019i Council). Mason Remey claimed that the UHJ established by R\u016b\u1e25iyyih Maxwell was illegitimate and in a countermove the UHJ excommunicated Mason Remey from the Baha\u2019i community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\n<h2 style=\"direction: ltr;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Wars_during_the_Babs_Era\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Wars during the B\u0101b\u2019s Era<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-7331\" src=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/wars.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"232\" height=\"151\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/wars.jpg 386w, https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/wars-300x195.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 232px) 100vw, 232px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">When the <a href=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/?p=2160&amp;lang=en\">B\u0101b<\/a> was imprisoned in Chihr\u012bq, Mu\u1e25ammad Shah of Q\u0101j\u0101r passed away and the princes and nobles of the court became preoccupied with the issues of succession. This put the country in a state of chaos and turmoil. The B\u0101b\u012bs took advantage of this situation and began to riot under the orders of the B\u0101b<a href=\"https:\/\/bahaismiran.com\/?p=2160&amp;lang=en\">.<\/a> These riots eventually lead to three bloody wars in three different regions of Persia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The first war began in the first days of the reign of N\u0101\u1e63ir al-D\u012bn Sh\u0101h in the Fort of Sheikh \u1e6cabars\u012b in M\u0101zandar\u0101n and was led by Mull\u0101 \u1e24usayn-i-Bushr\u016b\u2019\u012b and after his death by M\u012brz\u0101 `Al\u012b B\u0101rfur\u016bsh\u012b. These clashes have been described in detail in The Dawn Breakers:<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\u201cThe day had not yet broken when at the signal, \u201cMount your steeds, O heroes (The original Farsi word used is jangjoo which means \u2018combatant\u2019 not \u2018hero\u2019.) of God!\u201d . . . Mull\u0101 \u1e24usayn and two hundred and two of his companions ran to their horses and followed Qudd\u016bs . . . He forced his way through the gate and rushed into the private apartments of the prince.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Nab\u012bl Zarand\u012b, The Dawn-Breakers: Nab\u012bl\u2019s Narrative of the Early Days of the Bah\u0101\u2019\u012b Revelation (US Bah\u0101\u2019\u012b Publishing Trust, 1932), p. 365.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\u201cMull\u0101 \u1e24usayn . . . mounting his charger, gave the signal that the gate of the fort be opened. As he rode out at the head of three hundred and thirteen of his companions to meet the enemy, the cry of \u201cY\u0101 S\u0101hibu\u2019z-Zam\u0101n!\u201d again broke forth. Mull\u0101 \u1e24usayn first charged the barricade which was defended by Zakariyyay-i-Q\u0101d\u012b-Kal\u0101\u2019\u012b, one of the enemy\u2019s most valiant officers. Within a short space of time, he had broken through that barrier, disposed of its commander, and scattered his men. Dashing forward with the same swiftness and intrepidity, he overcame the resistance of both the second and third barricades, diffusing, as he advanced, despair and consternation among his foes. Undeterred by the bullets which rained continually upon him and his companions, they pressed forward until the remaining barricades had all been captured and overthrown.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Nab\u012bl Zarand\u012b, The Dawn-Breakers: Nab\u012bl\u2019s Narrative of the Early Days of the Bah\u0101\u2019\u012b Revelation, p. 379\u2013\u06f3\u06f8\u06f0\u066b<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The second clash occurred in the city of Nayr\u012bz with the uprising of Sayyid Ya\u1e25y\u0101 D\u0101r\u0101b\u012b and this clash also left behind a large number of casualties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Nab\u012bl Zarand\u012b, The Dawn-Breakers: Nab\u012bl\u2019s Narrative of the Early Days of the Bah\u0101\u2019\u012b Revelation, pp. 465\u2013\u06f5\u06f0\u06f0\u066b<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The third clash occurred in Zanj\u0101n between the B\u0101b\u012bs and the government forces. The casualties in this conflict were at least 1800 from the B\u0101b\u012b side:<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\u201cI have heard it stated that one of the companions of Hujjat who undertook to record the names of those who had suffered martyrdom, had left a written statement in which he had computed the number of those who had fallen prior to the death of Hujjat to be a thousand, five hundred and ninety-eight, whilst those who had suffered martyrdom afterwards were thought to have been in all two hundred and two persons.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Nab\u012bl Zarand\u012b, The Dawn-Breakers: Nab\u012bl\u2019s Narrative of the Early Days of the Bah\u0101\u2019\u012b Revelation, p. 580.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Was the cause of these wars and massacres, anything other than the religion of the B\u0101b and the beliefs of a group of B\u0101b\u012bs? Did these individuals not cause their own destruction, as well as that of many others, because they rioted and fought for their faith and the love they had for the B\u0101b?<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">B\u0101bism, which is the root of Baha\u2019ism, openly ordered its followers to start wars and cause bloodshed. In contrary to what Baha\u2019is claim in their history books and want non-Baha\u2019is to believe, the B\u0101b\u012bs were not a group of oppressed and peace-loving people who were merely protecting their women and children from the Persian government:<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">That humiliating episode was soon followed by a number of similar attempts on the part of the supporters of the governor, all of which utterly failed to achieve their purpose. Every time they rushed to attack the fort, Hujjat would order a few of his companions, who were three thousand in number, to emerge from their retreat and scatter their forces. He never failed, every time he gave them such orders, to caution his fellow-disciples against shedding unnecessarily the blood of their assailants. He constantly reminded them that their action was of a purely defensive character, and that their sole purpose was to preserve inviolate the security of their women and children. \u201cWe are commanded,\u201d he was frequently heard to observe, \u201cnot to wage holy war under any circumstances against the unbelievers, whatever be their attitude towards us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Nab\u012bl Zarand\u012b, The Dawn-Breakers: Nab\u012bl\u2019s Narrative of the Early Days of the Bah\u0101\u2019\u012b Revelation, p. 546.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The peaceful and oppressed face of the B\u0101bis and Baha\u2019is, as well as the historical narratives presented in the books authored by Nab\u012bl Zarand\u012b (many of which were later used by Shoghi Effendi) should be taken with a grain of salt. Nab\u012bl Zarand\u012b was one of the many people who had falsely claimed to be \u201cthe One Whom God Shall Make Manifest.\u201d The words of someone who tries to falsely attribute such a supposedly high station to himself should be met with healthy skepticism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">`Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101 clearly announces:<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\u201cThe utterance of the [book or religion] of Bay\u0101n in the day of the appearance of his Highness A`l\u0101 (meaning the B\u0101b) was to behead, burn the books, destroy the monuments, and massacre [everyone] but those who believed [in the B\u0101b\u2019s religion] and verified it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: `Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101, Mak\u0101t\u012bb (Egypt), vol. 2, p. 266.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The savagery in the B\u0101b\u2019s laws can clearly be seen in Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h\u2019s words too:<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\u201cThe unbelievers and the faithless have set their minds on four things: first, the shedding of blood [beheading]; second, the burning of books; third, the shunning of the followers of other religions; fourth, the extermination of other communities and groups. Now however, through the strengthening grace and potency of the Word of God these four barriers have been demolished, these clear injunctions have been obliterated from the Tablet and brutal dispositions have been transmuted into spiritual attributes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h, Tablets of Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h Revealed After the Kit\u0101b-i-Aqdas, p. 91.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Since the B\u0101b\u012bs denied Bah\u0101\u2019u\u2019ll\u0101h\u2019s station, he refers to them as: \u201cunbelievers and the faithless.\u201d Regarding killing and savagery,\u00a0`Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101 says:<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">If religion causes killing and savagery it is not religion and having no religion is better than that. For religion is meant to be a cure. If a cure causes sickness then of course, no cure is better than it. Thus, if religion causes war and slaughter, then of course, it is better to have no religion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Reference: `Abd al-\u1e24am\u012bd Ishr\u0101q Kh\u0101war\u012b, Pay\u0101m-i malak\u016bt, pp. 44\u2013\u06f4\u06f5\u066b<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">According to these words, since the Bab gave orders for war, massacres, and plunder, then B\u0101bism is not a religion. But then the question arises, if B\u0101bism is not a religion, then what is Baha\u2019ism? Did Baha\u2019ism not arise as a continuation of B\u0101bism and as a result of the tidings of the Bab to Him Whom God Shall Make Manifest? Does Baha\u2019ism not proudly present itself as the spiritual successor to Babism? If B\u0101bism is not a valid religion\u2014which according to the current principle is not\u2014then neither is Baha\u2019ism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to this principle and the aforementioned statements from `Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u0101, if a religion causes enmity and hatred, its non-existence is better than its existence.
