Making prominent the reward of the organizational and proselytizing activities of the Iranian Baha’is, the leadership foundation of Baha’ism used the word killed instead of martyr and weakened the position of the defenders of hometown. The universal house of justice continued to consider the word martyrdom just for those who have served the Baha’i cult.

During the sacred defense those Baha’is who had remained in Iran were obliged to do the military service according to the law like other youth. Some of them who were doing their military service in war fronts became inevitably injured or martyred.

However, the Baha’i families whose children were present in the war fronts and encountered the danger of their lives were faced with this question: What will be the religious consequence of their offspring they lose in the war?! On the other hand, do the young Baha’is who lose their lives defending what is called in Baha’ism as the cradle of god’s faith possess the position of martyrdom in their faith? Will their offspring become martyr or not?

Making the reward of the Iranian Baha’is organizational and proselytizing activities prominent, the leadership foundation of Baha’ism answered this question using the word the killed instead of martyr and weakened the position of hometown defenders. As the Baha’ism organization wrote praising the organizational and proselytizing activities of its members in Iran stating their reward: “The dear youth of Iran had asked: what is the positions of the youth who have succored in the resistance battle field to love his Beauty and remained in Iran while they are included among the killed ones in the war? The question was stated to the highest association and it stated”

Such loyal youth of the Blessed Beauty must be ensured that their loyality place and magnanimity to the Blessed beauty love have been evident in universal center and the Baha’i world even when they haven’t been ignorant of their self-defense and God’s faith’s expediencies preceded over their own ones. It is obvious that is those Blessed Beauty lovers are afflicted by calamity and disaster in the path of loyality, the certain reward will be recorded and registered and eternal prosperity will be bestowed to those spiritual youth. Consequently, no doubt must be impinged concerning the great position of these devotees the mercy path.[1]

The universal house of justice withheld to use the word martyr for the Iranian Baha’i defenders and considered martyrdom merely in serving the Baha’i cult.[2]

Of course, it is not surprising when the Baha’ism cult prides itself on statelessness[3] and likens the martyrs of the sacred defense to dog carrions[4].
