A glance at Sufism works will reveal that Sufis believe that the inner affairs are done by them and the superficial ones are related to religious scholars. They are busy recruiting using these baseless words not to educate people but to display their cult. Stating that the inner affairs are available for them, they mislead people skillfully to achieve their aims. They use Babism and Baha’ism beliefs to recruit. They skillfully state Babi and Baha’i’s deviant beliefs that nobody can believe that Sufism has created and made Babism and Baha’ism out of Shiism. The founders of this cult say they are experts in religion inner sciences to recruit spending large amount of money.
For example, both cults consider themselves as the means of saving. Ali Muhammad Bab wrote a letter for king Muhammad Qajar from Makou in 1364 A.H.: “I swear by God that unity and prophethood of His beloved and the guardianship of his caliphs can’t be manifested except by the fourth pillar (pointing out himself) which a ray from three previous mirrors and God has created me from a pure nature and caused me to achieve this position.” Ali Muhammad means nobody can figure out monotheism, propehthood and guardianship except believing in him. Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Gonabadi known as Saleh Ali Shah has also said: “You can’t step on the straight path except by connecting with the poor.”
An exact glance at entering the dignitaries of Sheikism and Baha’ism in Sufism creed and exploiting Sufis’ teachings and deviations will reveal that Sufis could establish a school which was separated and independent but originated from Sufism school in which they use Sufis’ teachings and deviations such as the forth pillar or the claiming for having relationships with Imam of the time (P.H.) or the claiming for direct relationship with the holy Imams and narrating tradition from them.
The following are the effects of dervishes and Sufis’ teachings on Baha’ism:
- The method of wearing cloths by Hussein Ali and Abbas Effendi
- Sufi cap and dervishes’ robes which are have been displayed in Baha and Abdul Baha’s photos.
- Some Baha’i sources have revealed that Baha was carrying a cup suspended by a chain
- Tendency towards interior by Baha’ism which is an ancient tradition in Sufism
- Educating Bab near dervishes’ monastery
- Ali Muhammad Bab called himself Zekr (mentioning) which is related to Sufism thoughts.
- Ali Muhammad Shirazi loved mortification which is being stressed by Sufism
