The famous Russian author Leo Tolstoy has consulted a mother by writing a letter dated March 15, 1909 A.D concerning her offspring who had become Muslim. Tolstoy has compared Islam with Christianity and mentioned Islam’s privileges.
۱- My offspring want to be Muslims:
One of the important characteristics of Tolstoy as a Russian author was that the Russian people respected and trusted him so much and this issue has caused them to ask for his comments on their lives and beliefs as a cherished person. Among the letters which this great author received was a letter written by a mother called Yelena Wakilava whose text is existent in the book Muhammad, the messenger of Allah. It was about a mother who was worried about her sons who had turned to Islam, so she had asked Tolstoy for help.
Tolstoy answered: “Your sons who had turned against Christianity and changed their religion and become Muslims don’t have to answer anybody about their decision. This is their logical and private wills… Islam headed by the Excellency Muhammad (P.H.) possesses the basis of all holy religions closely related to Christianity because the basis of the divine religions is God. Know, the religion of Islam and Muhammadan teachings are more valuable and superior to Christianity cos it has more Specifications. I deeply agree with your offspring who are serving this heavenly thought and congratulate them. A person who writes these sentences is a Christian, but I should say Islam and Muhammadan teachings having all Characteristics and in appearance are more complete and valuable than Christianity. “…
Don’t let your offspring be Baha’i!!!
Tolstoy continues to write : “However, don’t forget that there are some ways to mislead human beings by the name of Islam or religion such as Baha’ism… Baha ism has been originated from the name of Bahaullah who was living in Acre. This faith was made by Mirza Hussein Ali Nouri during the years 1817-1892 A.D. This person claimed for being a prophet in 1863 A.D. in Bagdad and before it in Tabriz City. So, the Iranian government exiled him to Ottoman. Baha’ism has borrowed some notes from Christianity and Judaism. The Baha’is try to pray three times a day and don’t accept Kaaba as their Kiblah. They have accepted Bahaullah’s house as their Kiblah. They have two holy books, the Bayan and the Aqdas. This is a false belief and mustn’t be accepted by everybody.
