Bahman, 11, 1402 S.H. (January 31) was the last day of Manoto network. This network was formally canceled and left another scandal for the deviant cult of Bahaism again.
Manoto satellite network was ran on October 28, 2010 coincidence with Aban, 6, 1392 S.H. in London invested by Keywan and Marjan Abbasi and could open its place among the Persian speaking satellite networks very soon via casting foreign entertaining programs including attractive documentary films, series and famous shows in in Persian language and producing several programs such as “music academy”,” Have dinner” and “Don’t forget poem”.
This network had invested its activities on entertaining programs during its first years following special cultural orientation, but the glamor of these programs and their superficial attractiveness didn’t let the approach of this network be recognizable for the addressers. During the later years; by increasing the number of addressees, producing political documentary film about the political circumstances and the social and cultural ones before the Islamic revolution comparing with the conditions of the years after the revolution assigned an important part of the productions of the network to itself.
These documentary films possessed vulgar views based on nostalgia and were praising for the years of the first and second Pahlavi governments. What had happened during those years and everybody who had gained power was pure and innocent and after that what was happened was merited to be blamed and criticized. However, what made Manoto documents attractive was its archive treasuries of photos. Those photos had never been casted in interior networks or movie documentary films and it was questionable how were those photos available for this network located in London.
Separating the agents of this network sometimes having various reasons and revealing private problems in Sepehr Omoumi were of the factors have caused this network to be liked by the public. By running Tv. network called “Iran International” in 1396 S.H., several forces of Manoto moved to this one.
On the other side; since the first day of its activity, it didn’t have many commercials and the source its financial funding was under question. Now, this network has issued a statement and announced about its canceling due to financial reasons. It is said in the statement: “Since the first month of its establishment, the income of our TV. from commercial was out of our expectation and; more and more, it caused us to be hopeful with the success of TV commercial model. However, the continuation of political inconsistency and economic anarchy in the region made the continuation of commercial television model impossible and made us be unable to be grown and developed. we couldn’t earn in this industry anymore.”
According to various comments and documents, it seems the unsuitable financial circumstances haven’t been the main reason for the canceling of Manoto network.
Shahram Homayoun (the activist and the monarchist) said in this regard: “During the years 2021 & 2022 A.D., the annual budget of Manoto television has been 30 million dollars. 15 years and each year 30 million dollars (45 million dollars!). how is it possible?
Amin Fardin also stated: “The reason for canceling the network is not unsuitable financial conditions. This network has been defeated politically and it hasn’t been able to meet those aims for which it is invested.
It is worthy to be mentioned that the financial resources of this network were funded more by monarchists and the Baha’i’s (who live more in occupied Palestine – Israel). However, the main reason is that this network isn’t influential anymore. Otherwise, if it were influential, a new investor would be found for it or it would continue its activities in a smaller collection.
