Gaining power, the religious radical wing in Israel has opposed over the existence of Baha’i touristic places and Baha’ism heads’ tombs which considers all Ibrahimi religions as abolished including Judaism. Some Jewish people have expressed there that they don’t like the golden tomb because it has been a symbol for Haifa while it doesn’t belong to Jewish culture; particularly the Muslim people of Palestine oppose the tombs of those who reject the finality of the holy prophet (P.H.) and abolish Islam, too. On the other side, orthodox Baha’is also say it was for these tombs to be in America not in Israel. Some suspect that making fire of Abdul Baha’s constructing tomb in Acre was being built for the centennial of death anniversary of Abdul Baha and costed hundreds of million dollars is attributed to the very radical Jewish wing. So, it is announced in the news that the Baha’i gardens will be closed for tourists in Acre.
Reported by Haaretz international agency, Acre city hall has asked for tax for Baha’i gardens and terraces in Acre and Haifa and has prevented identifying as ritual regions and heritage.
The people in charge of Baha’i gardens have announced that due to asking two million dollars by the city hall as tax and charge, they will close the doors of the Baha’i gardens!!
It seems the decrease in economic growth and gaining power by the religious radical wing in the then government of Israel has caused this problem.
