The matter which can be observed more in Baha’i books is warning about the danger of enemies inviting to internal unity and mere obeying the administration orders of the organization. Nothing has made the Baha’i works and literature, but confronting against internal and external dangers, obeying the guidance of the infallible and the expansion of administrative discipline. It is strange for a community which has internal unity while it seems safe but it has focused on foreign attack and internal unity.
The other note is that the Baha’i critics and authors have become silent by being threatened by boycotting administrative rights or being excommunicated from the society contrary to freedom and claimed patience.
Since early years, Shoghi Effendi planed universal scenarios against the faith “Nations, tribes and the followers of various religions have united and one after another will rise to destroy the Baha’is unity, destroy their power and vanish its holy name. Not only they attack the spirit into which they pay attention to administrative – which is the means and incarnation of this spirit- too. Because the more the authority given to the Baha’i community by Bahaullah becomes more obvious, the more threats become more severe. After a short period of time, the American and African people’s shout will be heard and the Chinese, Turks, Europeans and Indians will do, too. They will unite to destroy his faith (Bahaullah’s one) strongly.”
The danger for interior confrontation has been warned more than the foreign enemies’ ones. According to Baha’i culture, they are called covenant breakers. The harm for covenant breaking and their danger for the community have been imagined in the blackest form. According to Bahaullah’s words, they are hateful, evil, slanderous, disgusting, cunning, wicked, stupid, doubter, savage and artful lion, bloodthirsty wolf and hematophagous animals.
Now, the following is a tablet from Abdul Baha called “take care of the divine faith”: “Bahaullah has forbidden pure and honest friendship with those who have hurt the unity. It is also forbidden to have social intercourses with them or even approaching them because their breathing is similar to snake’s venom which kills human being immediately…!”
In the divine writings, it is cursing the disturbers of unity at least for one thousand times. Having social intercourse with bad people causes you to be included as bad ones. The disturber of unity resembles black leprosy. Nobody has social intercourse with by black leprosy on the condition that he/she is afflicted by black leprosy, too.”
Consequently, loyalty and being firm in the organization is the highest order; thus, one of the most important and basic bases of the divine faith thought is to avoid the covenant breakers; because they destroy the divine faith and its rules and make all efforts useless.
The deeds which cause a person not to be included as covenant breakers aren’t obeying Bahaullah’s rules like drinking alcohol or fornication; but are not refusing divine order and not obeying the Baha’i community administrative foundations and criticizing the faith institutes are of the cases violating and cause the spiritual excommunication.
Nobody is allowed to say or explain even a word in private or in public or to interpret a text. Nobody is allowed to express his/her personal viewpoint or to say his personal perception. Everybody must look for guidance and refer to the center of Shoghi Effendi and the universal house of justice faith. Everybody who refers instead of the other, he/she will be in painful perversion. Each of the disciples must consult with the spiritual assembly in each case. In this way, a group sedateness has been asked. Excommunication is a tested means against the destroying elements to keep the Society away from them. According to the Baha’i teachings, excommunication is used to save unity in religion such as separating cancer cells to save all members. Via excommunication, all family relationships with the closest relatives such as father, mother, father-in-law, mother- in-law offspring, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather and etc. Additionally, such punishment is for those who have social intercourse with the boycotted. Not only the membership will be cut in the society, but also all the character of a person will be destroyed by boycotting. In a community where the intended government of Bahaism is ruled, all citizen rights of a person will be destroyed.
