The Comparison among Islam, Judaism, and Christianity in Bahaism ideology

In Bahaism ideology, a kind of closeness and double similarity with Judaism can be observed and it is claimed that the followers of both are massacred in oppressed manner. “Shogi Effendi was the chairman of Bahaism organization in 20th century when Zionism resided in the occupied Palestine and had relationships with them.

In this situation, he criticized Islam and Christianity without criticizing Judaism.

Criticizing the religious foundations of Islam and Christianity without pointing out the Jewish religious foundations, Shoghi writes: “It is obvious for everybody that the deviation which determined the destiny of the Islamic and Christian institutes was displayed in the lives and behaviors of those who were their followers.”[۱]

Shoqhi doesn’t act the same in criticizing Islam and Christianity, too. He extremely criticizes Islam and leniently criticizes Christianity.

Shoghi has considered Islam, clergymen and Qajar government as the most important barriers of Bahaism development and claimed for them to be destroyed by God’s mercy and the holy breath of Hussein Ali Nouri.

Introducing Hussain Ali Nouri as typical and also his being Iranian, Shoghi claimed for Shia as an exterior event and said: After Shia Iranians didn’t accept Nouri’s claims, they lost their power to campaign. Bahaism ideology introduces Islam as ignorant bigots and clergymen as the firm base.

Bahaism is against Qajar government because it asks why Qajar government did not pay attention to Nouri and his offspring. Why did Qajar government imprison them and exile Agha Khan Nouri meddled with Russian embassy and the then chancellor after they planned to assassinate the shah and created unsafety that in the country? They believe that Qajar government was afflicted by calamity because it didn’t obey Nouri and left him with his claims. Shoghi says in this regard:

“Shia clergymen system was collapsed in the country where was the firm base for Islamic ignorant bigots and this collapse is one of the one the inevitable consequences of separating religion from government.

The Shia party of Islam lost its power to campaign in the homeland of the Excellency Bahaullah due to direct extreme enmity against the divine faith and became deprived of its rights and got disgraced.

No Qajar kings paid attention to the Excellency Bahaullah from Muhammad Shah to the last weak king of Qajar dynasty… at last, Qajar dynasty was removed as another barrier for the divine faith development.

…The next barrier was the Ottoman government. It was vanished away because the kings of Al-Othman who were formally the caliphs of the Excellency Muhammad hurt the divine faith continually and tyrannized.”[2]

In Bahaism ideology, Bahaism durability is practically interpreted as miracle during previous decades and it is claimed in various parts of time that if there weren’t occult assistances, Bahaism had been destroyed till now having all these problems. They have proselytized America and Zionism as the heavenly occult assistances.

Shogi considers the following causes as the ones of weakening Christianity and Church authority:

I) A wave of materials has expanded all the earth and the pressure of industrialization

II) The expansion of Communism

III) The expansion of Nationalism

IV) The constancy of several economic, political and social hypotheses after World War I

V) The intellectual change in “church”

VI) The force of modernism based on materialism philosophy

VII) Corrupt beliefs and dangerous philosophies

VII) Cancellation of Greek Orthodox church in Russia following the hit against Roman church after the extinction of the Austrian and Hungary monarchy.

IX) “The shaking that befell in the foundations of the Catholic Church, leading to the separation of religion from government in Spain”

X) “The persecutions that befell the same Church in Mexico”

XI) “The inspections and seizures and intimidation and terror that Protestants and Catholics suffered in the heart of Europe”

XII) “The worries and revolution that weakened the other branch of the Church as a result of military attacks in Africa”

XIII) “The decline in the credibility of Christian missionaries, both Anglicans and Protestants, in Turkey, Persia, and the Far East”

XIV) “The ominous signs that indicate difficult and undesirable relations between the Pope system and some European nations.”[3]

According to Shoghi, most of the world’s traditional and religious institutions are in the process of dissolution, except for the community of followers of the Greatest Name, namely Baha’ism, who are the “companions of the Right,” and “among the people of this world, there are only Baha’is who know that it is the hand of God’s power that drives the ship of salvation to its destination in the midst of the upheaval of this stormy age.”[۴]

Thus, the ideologists and leaders of the Baha’i organization have found their justification in denying others. By denying the values of the great religions of the world, and important schools of thought, they preach to their masses as if Baha’ism had come to carry the great burden of human history to its destination and to complete that important task that no one else has been able to do. In fact; during its unfortunate life, the Baha’i organization blames the weaknesses of other religions, including the weaknesses of their agents, on itself and the leaders of this organization, while a large part of the problems in the Islamic and Ottoman worlds and Christianity in the West are due to the plans of global Zionism, of which the Baha’i faith is also a part.
