In Babism and Bahaism, violence’s history is the same as the lifetime of these two movements. In this article, we are going to investigate such measures in the pages of Babism and Bahaism history.
Babis and Baha’is have done many massacres and bloodshed since their appearance. Contrary to Bahaism’s today slogan, the founders of this cult have always ordered for fighting and conflict to achieve their goals. Many assassinations have remained in the report letters of this group. Although they are trying to hide them, they can’t be removed from the pages of history.
In this article, we are going to commemorate one of the martyrs whose shrine have become pantheons for locals and local people have observed special munificence there.
This martyr’s name has mentioned by the great scholar Amini in the book “the martyrs of perfection path”. This book has introduced the names of 300 people who have been martyred prior the Islamic revolution to save Shia religion.
Seyyed Gholam Reza Birjandi Khorasani, one of the supreme jurisprudents of Shia who was born in “Seyyedan” village next to holy shrine of “Agha Seyyed Morteza.”
Seyyed Gholam Reza educated in Khorasan till youth, but after learning introductory lessons, he went to Isfahan city and completed his educations. After finishing education, he came back to his birthplace and after a while, he moved to Birjand.
The people of Birjand welcomed the presence of such scholar in their land too. Due to the prepared atmosphere of the region, he stayed there. Seyyed Gholam Reza led, taught and judged there.
At that time, the religious affairs of people were in hands of this supreme character, the great scholar Seyyed Abu Talib Birjandi. These two people were trying hard to execute the judicial laws of Islam and proselytizing truths and make people aware, till Ali Muhammad Shirazi, Muhammad Reza Bazzaz Shirazi’s son ran Babism sedition.
Babism was going to dominate on people’s beliefs and to misuse Shia religious belief. The followers of this cult didn’t pity non-Babis following the orders of their leaders. Additionally, if someone opposed, he/she would be killed.
Even, 300 Babis went to Khorasan carrying black flags and swords riding on horses to attack people and behead everybody who didn’t believe in Bab”.
The Babis roared people too violently that extreme fear overtook them and they were paving their ways by killing the governmental agents because they were quite armed.
All these behaviors were originated from Ali Muhammad Bab’s orders. For instance, he said: “In this cult, each king is obliged to kill unfaithful non-Babi living on Earth. Also, this commandment is necessary for all followers;[1] that is first, they were going to establish Babi government and kingdom and second, they were thinking of non-Babis genocide and making all Babis.
Eventually, the perversion and sedition span of Babis’ disciples expanded to Birjand. Seyyed Gholam Reza, as a religious scholar, decided to confront against the ominous sedition of making misled and heresy firmly warily. He had known religious deviation and campaigned against them to make people aware of them and also made Amir Alam Khan, the ruler of the region to campaign against Babis; so that they punished several misleading Babis there!
As the enemy of Shiism, Babism was afraid of people’s awareness and sciences more than any other things because when people knew better and more correct and had social intercourses with scholars, they knew more that their claims are null.
Even, Ali Muhammad Shirazi had ordered:” It is necessary for all non-Babi books to be burnt and destroyed.”[۲] and “studying and teaching each book except for the Babi one and having more than 19 books [Babi books) are forbidden.”[۳]
Consequently, they couldn’t tolerate the existence of this great scholar and plan to assassinate him. The great scholar Amini writes about the method of his martyrdom: “At those days, he traveled from “Birjand” to” Rahanj” village which was located at several farsangs from the city. One of the Babis poured poison into the milk which he wanted to drink in order to make him poisoned. That Babi killed him (Earlier 1270 A.H.)”[۴].
His holy body was transferred to Birjand to be buried. Nowadays, his tomb is paid attention by the people of the region. After his martyrdom, his offspring “Seyyed Ali” became his successor.
“After 40 days, the Babi agents made him poisoned and martyred.”[۵]
Now, the Zionistic organization of Bahaism which has inherited its sectarian content and base from Babism is claiming for philanthropy and trying to hide bloody history of its ancestors, but hating Islam and Shiism is the base of this deviant cult.
