The Jewish have played a key role in the emergence, expansion and growth of Babism and Bahaism cults. The historical researches stress on “the earlier bonds between Ali Muhammad Bab and his followers with certain centers whose main partners were a net of powerful and wealthy Jewish descendants. Since its emergence, Babism has been similar to Donme in Turkey (cult: 1909 A.D.) and Frankist (Frank Jacobe Frank, 1726-1791 A.D.) in the Eastern Europe.

The familiarity of Seyyed Ali Muhammad Bab Shirazi and the Jewish and capitalist family of Sasun played a key role and influence on him and made him be familiar with important Jewish centers through which he could claim for being Imam of the Time (P.H.) according to some historians and he claimed for being the forth pillar according to Sheikhism cult.

The Jewish who have turned to this cult have formed the body of Bahaism. According to researches, the fast emergence and expansion of Babism and Bahaism and particularly the coherent and deep influence of them in the structure of Qajar government are related to an event called “the hidden Jewish” during Naseruddin Shah periods of time. When the history of emergence and expansion of Babism is investigated, it is observed that there are numerous examples of the newly-Muslim Jewish people’s tendencies towards Babism in Iran who have changed into the earlier preachers of Babism and influential elements in its expansion and growth.

Ismael Raeen believes, too: “Most of Iranian Baha’is ware Jewish and Zoroastrian. Additionally, Muslims who have turned to this cult are in minority. Now it is less to be seen a Muslim turns to them.”

Fazl Allah Mohtodi known as Sobhi, the former proselytizer of Bahaism who has been the special secretary of Abbas Effendi for years writes:

“According to me, most of them have become Baha’is to escape from Judaism title and also to be free to commit debauchery and immorality. I know such Jewish people in Hamadan and Tehran cities and I am aware of their deeds.”

The Jewish people have turned to Bahaism more than any other people. For example, a group of Jewish people turned to Bahaism cult in Hamadan city and we can point out the role of Mullah Eliyahou and Mullah Laleh Zar, two Jewish dignitaries in strengthening the famous movement of Tahrireh Qorratul Ein in proselytizing Babism.

The Jewish tendency to Bahaism and the Zionism attempts to change this deviant cult to an influential universal religion is not restricted to Iran, but in other countries particularly Europe and the United States, extensive measures have been done; as Al- Ettehad newspaper printed by Abu Dhabi writes about the bond between Bahaism and Zionism in the article entitled “The Zionism shadow on Bahaism”:

After Bahia’s death in 1892 AD., a strange event happened: Zionism formed groups to serve and invite Abbas Effendi, Baha’s offspring and successor and opened their treasurers to back up this cult.

To develop and preach Bahaism in the world, Zionism cooperated with Abbas Effendi and proselytized in the regions in which Islam hadn’t dominated; such as Turkmenistan and the Soviet Union. Then, it transferred Bahaism to Chicago and San Francisco and Zionism groups gather charities to establish an organization and invited masonry assemblies to bond them to Bahaism.

In 1899 A.D. after the formation of Zionism Conference (BAL) located at Switzerland, the Jewish orientalists particularly Tumansky published the holy book of Bahaullah in the third conference of the history of religions in Oxford as a collection of reports of this conference.

In 1909 A.D., Hublot Verinus, the Jewish published a book in Paris entitled “the history and social values of Bahaism…”

The Jewish religious leaders issued fatwa for the Persian prophet’s prophetic mission and proselytized for him and determined the 19th century as a date to his emergence cleaning Qods city out of Muslims.

In this way, it got a new stage for the Babis to proselytize and its followers believe that Bahaism is not a cult from Islam, but it is a universal religion which has traversed the borders of Islam and Acre prophet has found bigoted followers America and Europe who have helped for Bahaism organizations be created in America and have selected the city of Chicago as the center of this religion…

According to Goldziher, by the emergence of Abbas Effendi and asking the Old Testament and the Bible, Bahaism has proceeded and claimed for the emergence of Abbas Effendi to be pointed out in The now and old Testament (Al. Ettehad newspaper, 1354, No. 12).

Since 1868 AD., Mirza Hussein Ali Nouri (Baha) and his companions were transferred to Acre port, and the bond between the Baha’is and the strong Jewish centers of the west continued and the center of Bahaism in Palestine land changed into an important means to fulfill their aims and their partners’ ones in the Colonial system of Britain.
