I am Siyamak Zand. I was born in Tehran city in 1320 S.H. My mother was Mirza Mahmoud Kashi’s granddaughter. Mirza Mahmoud was of a few people who was accompanied by Hussein Ali Nouri from Iran to Acre and was with him to the end of his lifetime. He was Hussein Ali’s trusted person and he was buried in Acre where Bahaullah was buried.
It is necessary to be explained that during this course, he was also accompanied by a young man called Reza Qannad Hoveyda’s grandfather. Of course, his surname was not Qannad. Qannad was a title which had given to him. Then, they selected the name Hoveyda. Mirza Mahmoud Kashi and Mirza Reza Qannad were husbands of two sisters; that is my mother was Mr. Amir Abbas Hoveyda’s (the prime minister) maternal aunt’s granddaughter.
– The discussion of Palestine lands is a detailed one. Turkey documents are indicating it. For example, the article: ” Who sold Palestine? It indicates that Abdul Baha bought Muslims’ lands because he said he had been Muslim. They considered him as Muslim. They sold their lands to Abdul Baba cheaply and he made the land available for the Jewish.
Not only Abbas Effendi, but also Reza Qannad and Mahmoud Kashi bought some lands in group cheaply. Kashi and Qannad Sold the lands to Israelis.
Israel wasn’t existent. They delivered these lands to those emigrants who were businessmen expensively. These lands were apart from those lands where were confiscated by Israelis forcefully by killing Palestinians.
I remember that nearby Haifa port, there were extensive lands bought by the Baha’is. Because they had strategic positions the Israeli government confiscated them after the establishment of Israel government.
Haifa city was near Acre. Those lands had been purchased by Abbas Effendi, Reza Qannad and mirza Mahmoud Kashi.
I know that the Israel government paid huge amount of money to Mr. Abbas Hoveyda and his cousins for those lands as compensation.
