There isn’t any candidate in the elections of the universal house of justice. No advertisement and debate will be held. The polls are hidden. The counting of votes is secret. Nobody is aware of the percentage of votes. The one who enforces the elections is a board which is appointed by the universal house of justice. The board supervising the elections is also being appointed by universal house of justice. The final result will be also announced by the universal house of justice. Nobody will oppose the result!

After Shoqi was aborted and one of two pillars of the legitimacy of the leadership of Baha’ism was dangled[1] and the universal house of justice elected by Shoqi Effendi was dissolved by Rouhieh Maxwell[2], the universal house of justice in Haifa in 1963 A.D. (after 6 years of leadership by Rouhieh Maxwell and the disciples of the faith) became the leader of Baha’ism.

To familiarize the readers with the method of voting and electing the members of the universal house of justice, we ask you to pay attention to the report by one of the formal sites of Baha’ism about the 2008 A.D. elections.[3]

According to formal statistics by this report, nearby 1500 people have participated in the elections out of whom 500 people sent their votes distantly. In this elections, there isn’t any candidate. No advertisement and the election debate have been held. Everybody can vote to these 9 people according to his/her desire.

The votes are secret. Counting votes is secret, too. Nobody will be aware of the vote percentage. Nobody is allowed to oppose the result. The one who enforces the elections is a board which is appointed by the universal house of justice. The board supervising the elections is also being appointed by the universal house of justice. The final result will be announced by the universal house of justice. Nobody is allowed to oppose the result!

Is such method called elections?
