Justifying Ali Muhammad’s repentance using forged traditions

One of the justifications of the Baha’is for the repentance of this claimant of Mahdism is resorting to Gharaniq fable. According to the fable mentioned in Sunni resources, the Excellency Muhammad (P.H.) has mentioned polytheists’ idols as good in order to accompany them with himself and then impart the monotheism order in the next stage and call people avoid idols[1]. Answer to the justification of Ali Muhammad Shirazi’s repentance:

۱- By investigating Qaraniq fable via the holy Quran, we will figure out that this fable is forged in the Sunni resources. Because cherishing blasphemy and deviating the guidance path is the sense of dominance and Satan deceit, the possibility rejected by God:

“قالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعينَ إِلاَّ عِبادَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصينَ”

Satan said: “I swear by your glory (O’ God) I will mislead all people except for your chosen slaves.”

۲- The Baha’is are going to prove and justify his dissimulation by likening Ali Muhammad Shirazi and Gharaniq’s fable. Divine prophets and messengers have never dissimulated in religion principles. For this reason, they have suffered from many persecutions.

۳- According to Shia traditions, One of the reason for occultation of the Excellency Mahdi (May God hasten his reappearance) is avoiding dissimulation and allegiance with tyrants as Imam Hassan Mojtaba (P.H.) says in this regard:

“ما منّا احد الّا و یقع فى عنقه بیعة لطاغیة زمانه…”[۲]
