ِِِِDue to anti-Islamic activities and the leadership of illegal Baha’ism organization, Farhad Fahandej was imprisoned for 6 years. After being free, he didn’t quit his anti-Islamic and anti-revolutionary activities and followed his previous activities in Gorgan city. The Baha’ism organization has made a symbol of a Baha’i person as a so-called oppressed one out of this criminal. The Baha’i media has introduced his crime as believing in Baha’ism and has called him as the most oppressed Baha’i imprisoned in Iran.

One of the prisoners who is the member of Baha’ism in Iran and has a large number of feedbacks by the Baha’ism organization and anti-revolution ones is Farhad Fahandej. The anti-revolution sites have written: “Four months later, Farhad Fahandej’s 10-year imprisonment commandment will be ended. He had been imprisoned due to his belief in Baha’ism.[1]

Who is Farhad Fahandej and what is his reason of conviction?

Farhad Fahandej was born in Torbat Heydariyyeh, Gorgan province in 1338 S.H. claimed by the Baha’ism organization, Farhad Fahandej is a horologer and has received his degree from the illegal university of Baha’ism. On Mehr 26, 1391 S.H., 17 members of the illegal organization of Baha’ism were arrested in an extensive operation by the agents of the intelligent service of Gorgan and Gonbad cities. Farhad Fahandej was one of them.

Farhad Fahandej was arrested along with Siyamak Sadri, Payam Markazi, Foad Fahandej, Kamal Kashani and Farahmand Siabi. Among the captured, Farhad Fahandej had been previously (1362 S.H.) imprisoned for 6 years. According to the court verdict, Farhad and Adel Naeemi (one of the other Baha’i criminal) were imprisoned for each 10 years due to managing and establishing the Baha’i organization. Others were imprisoned for 5 years in Rajaee Shahr prison, Karaj city.[2] It is necessary to be mentioned that due to the continuation of anti-Islamic and treacherous activities, the Baha’ism organization was announced to be illegal after the Islamic Revolution in Iran.[3] Believing in Baha’ism is not a crime in Iran because if it were 50, all prisoners in Iranian prisons would be Baha’is.[4]

It is interesting to be noted that the Baha’ism organization has made him as a symbol of being oppressed while he hasn’t even bound with his leaders’ commandment which says the Baha’is must obey the laws and regulations of each government or system of government.[5]
