Abdul Hussein Ayati is narrating a memoir by one of Abdul Baha‘s companions in his European trip to Paris: “we were drinking wine with Abbas effendi in Paris. He said his secrets and I figured out that he is irreligious[1].” According to Baha’i creed, drinking wine and alcoholic beverages is illegitimate in Baha’ism
However, there are several notes in the above-mentioned narration:
- ۱- How is it possible for the forget of Baha’ism to rule drinking alcoholic beverages as illegitimate:
“لا تقربوا بها لانها حرمت علیکم من لدی الله العلی العظیم”[۲]
“Don’t approach alcoholic beverages cos it is considered as illegitimate by the Almighty God; but his successor has committed this action?!”
- ۲- While even the successors of the forged prophet of Baha’ism has confessed to the creed to be baseless, how do you expect the followers of this creed to be loyal to it?!
