Bahaismiran: Hojabr Yazdani is the first person who cheated in the banking system of Iran. For this reason, he was entitled as the father of cheating in banking system. It is interesting to be noted that he was one of the members of Baha’ism in Iran.

Hojabr Yazdani was a herdsman and so did his ancestors, but late 1340s he turned to banking affairs and loans and etc. In addition to meat, Hojabr was active dealing hard sugar,  flour, dairy products, fruits, leather, industry and business: “His economic activities have been developed in his birthplace Sangsar and nearby regions and across the country. He possessed agricultural complezes in Gorgan, Gonbad, Isfahan, Systan and Blouchestan, Shirwan and Ghouchan and was active in producing hard sugar, cotton, shoes, too… He possessed more than 21 companies out of which Shirwan hardsugar complex was the biggest… . Shahin industry and planting factory, Shahzand shoes Ghouchan hard sugar, Shirwan and Bojnourd hardsugar and Pakris spinning factories belonged to him.”

Hojabr Yazdani was having loans to buy other banks’ shares. Yazdani borrowed 105 million Tumans from Melli Bank, Ferdowsi branch to buy the shares of mine and industrial development bank shares. When he wanted to buy Iranian bank, one of the members of the bank board of directors figured out that Yazdani has silently bought 28 percent of bank shares… He asked one of the ministers of the government to prevent him… Eventually, Yazdani bought the shares meddling with the king.

 

Hojabr Yazdani was arrested and imprisoned by the people in charge of the king’s government in 1357 S.H. to pretend they were campaigning against seditions: “Yazdani was imprisoned in Ghasr prison. According to him, he was inhabiting in prison like a king and his residing place resembled a palace.”

Hojabr Yazdani who was one of the members of Baha’ism cult didn’t pity with the Baha’is. So, he embezzled their properties, too. When Hojabr ascaped from Iran and because he was one of the members of Baha’ism, the Baha’is realized that Hojabr Yazdani confiscated their properties. The Baha’is kidnapped his son in Costa Rica and asked for refunding their plundered properties. In this way, Yazdani refunded some of their properties.

During the Islamic Revolution, Hojabr Yazdani was ion prison. Then, he escaped from the prison aided by his friends. He hid in Sangsar for a while and at last, he escaped from Iran using forged passport and went to America and Costa Rica.

Yazdani was born on Khordad 13, 1313 and his ID number was 13. He died on April, 17, 2010 in his personal farm in Casts Rica.
