By studying the holy prophet’s (P.H.) sermon and tradition in Ghadir Khom, we will figure out that not only he hasn’t pointed out the prophets sent down after Islam at all, but also he has introduced the Excellency Mahdi (P.H.) as of his descendants and the last divine proof on the earth contrary to making religion by the Babi and Baha’i leaders.
The Excellency Muhammad (P.H.) has called the Excellency Mahdi (P.H.) as the last divine proof, so he has stated the claims of Babi and Baha’i religion makers as false.
Babism and Baha’ism have rejected the finality of prophethood if the holy prophet (P.H.) and proved the prophethood of Ali Muhammad Shirazi and Hussein Ali Nouri for Babism and Baha’ism to be founded. The Baha’is has considered the verse 40 of the chapter Al-Ahzab[1] as the mere reason for the finality of the prophethood of the holy prophet (P.H.) and have tried to reject its reason.
Fadhel Mazandarani, one of the prominent proselytizers of Baha’ism is claiming for this verse to elevate the position of the holy prophet than other human beings after meaning it as ornament and said it is not related to ending prophethood series[2].
Nevertheless, proving the finality of prophethood of the holy prophet (P.H.) hasn’t been restricted to just this verse, but other verses[3] and methods of lives of other holy Imams (peace be upon them) will confirm this.
For instance, if it were for the religion of the holy prophet (P.H.) to be abolished and a new one were to be come, it would be necessary for the holy prophet (P.H.) to pose it in his last pilgrimage to Mecca when there were a lot of Muslims.
Not only he didn’t point out sending prophets after Islam at all, but also he introduced the Excellency Mahdi (P.H.) as of his offspring and the last proof of Allah:
“لَا اِنَّهُ البَاقِی حُجَّهً وَ لَا حُجَّهَ بَعدَه وَلا حَقَّ إلاّ مَعَهُ وَلا نُورَ إلاّ عِنْدَهُ”[۴]
That the holy prophet has introduced the Excellency Mahdi (P.H.) as the last divine proof means that no executor and prophet will come after him.
