After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, some Baha’is were arrested due to their spying by several heads of the Baha’ism organization in various cities of the country as spies in the war between Iran and Iraq and helping the kingdom system of government stabilized and embezzling Muslims’ properties and giving it to the Zionistic regime. When they were arrested, they were imprisoned or denounced to be executed.
Due to these commandment, the American government which was the main supporter of them reacted and Ronald Reagan, the then president of America opposed these commandments. Imam Khomeini (P.H.) answered him:
“Did you listen to the American president’s speech. He asked all people of the world to help, because the Baha’is of Iran are oppressed and are not spies. They are just busy performing religious ceremonies. Iran has denounced 22 Baha’i people Cos they perform their religious ceremonies.
They are spies because you oppose. America isn’t humanitarian… These Baha’is aren’t religious. They belong to a party. A party which was being supported by Britain and now America is supporting it.
The problem is that Reagan has supported them. It shows that they are useful for America…”[۱]
