The Baha’ism organization rejects the existence of religious authority and spiritual people off all walks of life in its cult. However, investigating the Baha’ism texts reveals that this cult possesses the religious authority called the universal house of justice. Additionally, there are some people in Baha’ism in the form of religious proselytizers who are itinerant and fixed who proselytize for Baha’ism and receive salaries.
In investigating the structure of Baha’ism organization, we encounter the interesting titles of fixed and itinerant proselytizers in the cult.
In order to perk itself as modern the Baha’ism cult is claiming for not existing the spiritual people in its creed: “First, it should be reminded that because there aren’t any rabbi, mullah and etc. in Baha’ism, it is believed that the above-mentioned ones will cause religion to be hurt such as inducing false understanding from religion creation differences and cultism! The damages claimed by Baha’ism to be removed by the advent of Baha’ism: “The Excellency Bahaullah, the founder of the Baha’i creed removed differences such as removing the religious authority, announcing the freedom of conscience…[۱]”
The Answer:
۱) Investigating the structure of the Baha’ism organization will reveal that this cult is possessing the religious authority called the universal house of justice. As the Baha’i heads have spoken about the authority of the universal house of justice: “The general authorities are the book “Aqdas” and “the general universal house of justice[2].”
۲) In addition to the religious authority in Baha’ism, this deviant cult is possessing the specialized proselytizers like other religions: “Make the disciples aware of strengthening and increasing the number of fixed and itinerant proselytizers[3].”
It is written about the development of Baha’ism by dispatching itinerant proselytizers: “The progress and development machine of the Baha’is faith has been ran and achieved its goals having surprising speed and dispatched its proselytizer to nearby countries.[4]
Also, planning for itinerant proselytizers of Baha’ism has been considered as useful measures: “One of hundreds of useful measures of disciples in Baha’i communities is providing useful and suitable programs for the itinerant proselytizers.[5]
Shoqi Effendi has considered the expansion of Baha’ism in Iran and various countries as the first result of the existence of the Baha’i itinerant proselytizers[6]”
