Ayatollah Madani is of the great and deep human beings who was active in scientific and social arenas and the holy war. Alongside with educational activities and scientific discussions, he was paying attention to his community very much and was along with his nation is the most severe circumstances. One of his campaign was against the deviant cults who was considering the existence of them as really dangerous. Baha’ism cult is one of such cults.
This cult is a political and colonial one which developed too much during Pahlavi period of time. The Colonial countries are always trying to weaken the Islamic communities and the have resorted various ways to achieve this goal. One of these methods is strengthening and expanding the deviant cult of Baha’ism in the Islamic countries. The aware scholars like Ayatollah Madani knew the ominous plans of Colonialism and the danger of the influence of Baha’ism cult in the Iranian community strongly and made the Iranian people aware of their influence.
A lot of books have been written in the field of Baha’ism such as “Babism and Baha’ism have been born by the false claimants for being the deputies for Imam of the time (P.H.)” written by Muhammad Muhammadi Eshtehardi; Naser publishing house.
Also, the book “criticism and investigation of the deviant cult of Babism and Baha’ism” written by Seyyed Ma’soum Husseini, Boustan-e-Danesh publishing house. These books have criticized and investigated Babism and Baha’ism cult including the history and method of the appearance of Babism and Baha’ism cult.
Martyr Madani had started his political campaigns to overthrow the Pahlavi regime when he was young. Due to campaigning against the deviant cult of Baha’ism he was exiled to Hamadan from Qom.
Ayatollah Madani was campaigning against the deviant cults perior 1342 S.H. movement in Iran and after the Islamic Revolution was fighting against Baha’ism along w2ith Imam Khomeini (P.H.). his resting place is in Qom city.
Ayatollah Madani’s campaigns started during Reza Khan’s periods of time. During those periods of time, Reza Khan had provided opportunities for the Baha’is to be active in order for people not to follow Islam and Shia clergymen. He had started his first campaigns against Baha’ism across the country particularly from Tabriz city.
The Baha’is were wealthy; so they dominated on sensitive parts of the city such as electricity company. At that time, people sanctioned consuming electricity due to revealing speech by Martyr Madani (P.H.) and used oil lamps. Also, people cancelled each kind of transaction with them to such an extent that they had to leave the city.

Making Mosque
In addition to making people aware of Baha’ism, he was doing cultural activities such as building mosque to guide people. One of these mosques was a great mosque in Nour Abad, Mamasani.
Mahhdieh Mosque, Hamadan
One of the main centers of expanding Babism and Baha’ism across the country was Hamadan city. Babism and Baha’ism had been preached by the Jewish people of Hamadan.
Hejazi, one of those who campaigned against the Pahlavi regime during Revolution days says: “The street of Mahdieh, Hamadan had been seized by the Baha’is. Ayatollah Madani dispersed them intelligently without any fighting. He established Mahdieh mosque in the land bestowed by one of the benefactors of that time. The Baha’is left the district when the call of Islam was broadcasting in the mosque.
By such measures, Ayatollah Madani could prevent the development of the deviant cult of Baha’ism and the Colonial ominous plans.
