The misguided and heretical Baha’i cult, which has a long-standing grudge against the Shia and the people of Iran played a direct and indirect role in the country’s recent riots with the complicity of America, Israel and other opponents of the regime which led to the arrest of a number of Baha’is by the security agencies.

In the meantime, the king came out with a worried expression. After paying my respects and bowing, I said: The matter is confidential, and I showed him this letter. He consulted me and said that for several months, the chancellor wants to force me to oppose the government of the Russian Empire with all the powers I have given him. He asks me to return the captured cities of the Caucasus region to Iran and bring or train an armed army from France and England and to buy advanced weapons from the foreign government and establish a school like foreign countries and he says the UK is ready to pay us a great amount of money free of charge to prepare such an army.
I was surprised at his simplicity, because I had been in contact with him just for several months, and at the same time he revealed all the secrets of his government to me. I said that it is necessary for the deputy and Hakimi Gilani to be killed. He said that tomorrow I will punish the deputy for his actions, but it is difficult to kill Hakim because he has a spiritual and moral position. I said that his destruction is my responsibility and I undertake this task, he turned very happy and kissed me and said, “bravo, since you became a Muslim, you have become their helper.” So, he gave me a brilliant diamond ring, an expensive emerald ring.
The murder of Hakim Gilani
I went home and prepared a deadly poison and called Mirza Hussain Ali Baha and gave him the poison along with a gold coin that was one of Fath Ali Shah’s coins and ordered him to put this poison in Hakim’s food by any means possible and to kill him. Hussain Ali Baha put the poison in Hakim’s food and killed him on the 28th of Safar 1250 A.H. in a way that he knew. Hakim’s death caused strange wails to rise from his house.
The Shah also called the deputy to Negaristan and strangled him like Hakim at the end of the month of Safar 1251 A.H.
