This revolution historian continued: The issue which is following these days and some are following unveiling or compulsory or optional veiling is totally false and when nearly 98 percent of people have voted the Islamic Republic it means the Islamic rule must be fulfilled. when Islamic Republic was established; that is, the Islamic rules are being fulfilled and compulsion or not is meaningless. When we have voted for the Islamic republic for it means we have voted the rules of the Islamic republic and veiling is a part of Islamic rule based on the text of the holy Quran.

He continued to say: Veiling is a social issue and it isn’t personal like prayer.
