According to the researches of psychology sciences, each group which possesses the following features and recruit new members by brainwashing trick and makes the old members bond with the aim of the head using this method is called a cult:
- Self-appointed head
- Pyramid structure
- Convincing by brainwashing
In Bahaism organization, the above-mentioned three features are existent because the first heads were self-appointed, but at the present time, they are holding to elections become free from these accusations in order to deceive the general thoughts particularly the deluded members’ ones.
The power structure is well observable seriously in all layers of Bahaism creed; so that, none of the members are allowed to ask about what is going on inside the cult. If a person dares to ask, he/she will be confronted with measures like Gestapo.
In order to recruit and save the members, the Bahaism creed is using deception technique. The Bahaism organization needs to hide the reality because if people become aware of the real beliefs and functions of cult, they won’t joint it.
Also, the technique of being isolated is being used for leaving family, friends, occupation and etc. for achieving sectarian aims. In Bahaism organization, the member time is spent for recreations and mind amusements in order for them not to have opportunity to be spent for other issues. Sending continuous messages and statements of the organization by the universal house of justice and also various plans in national level confirm this issue.
Like most creeds, the Bahaism organization uses love bombardment technique to control people. When the person enters into the cult for the first time, he/she will be bombarded by love and the organization selects its friends for him/her, because the organization is afraid of others to influence on members.
The members are afraid of the heads head’s cos the heads are afraid of using intimidation technique.
