Here I would like to put forth another angle and that is the Quran being a guide for all mankind. So, whosoever calls himself a human, Quran is a guide for him/her. Obviously, this does away with any need for any other book (neither Aqdas nor Iqan) for men.
In many of its verses it addresses all mankind as follows:
“Ya Ayyohan Naas” meaning “O you all men”
Additionally in verse 107 of Surah Anbiya, the Last Prophet Mohammad is addressed as a mercy to all the creatures of God.
The Holy Quran in Surah Anam, Verse 19 points out as follows:
“This Qur’an hath been revealed to me by inspiration, that I may warn you and all whom it reaches.”
If the Holy Quran reaches us, it is a divine warning for us.
Before us it reached Bab and Baha and was a divine warning for them too. But alas they choose to falsely raise themselves to the position of divinely appointed leaders leaving righteousness and have therefore deprived themselves of any reward as is explicitly pointed out in the Quran itself.
That Home of the Hereafter We shall give to those who intend not high-handedness or mischief on earth: and the end is (best) for the righteous. (Surah Qasas, V.83)
Thus believing in Quran as being a divine inspiration (as the Bahais do believe) and then also believing in Bab, Baha and their innovative ideas is totally incompatible!
