Although the Baha’is are claiming for not meddling with policy citing Bahaullah and Abdul Baha’s orders and are trying to perk themselves as non-political figures, but today this claim has been encountered with a really serious challenge.

The challenge started when Shoghi Effendi, the third influential leader of the Baha’is, has spoken about the necessity for being formally recognized in various countries and the ambition for the establishment of the Baha’i government and has presented a coherent protocol for it. Following Shoghi’s speech, the universal house of justice organization has planned to execute Shogi’s protocol.

After Shoghi Effendi coincided with the establishment of the universal house of justice, the hidden aim of this organization for establishing the government was gradually revealed particularly since 1990s when it was hastened.

To explain more, Bahaullah didn’t superficially consider meddling with policy as allowable and ordered his followers to obey the governments. He even said explicitly: “Nobody is allowed to oppose the rulers and statesmen. “

According to Bahaullah’s logic, government must be left for rulers and governing people’s heart’s must be confiscated. After Bahaullah, Abdul Baha and Shoghi prevented meddling with policy completely, but to be honest, the Baha’i leaders’ speech concern meddling with policy is not true.

In one hand, they prevent others to meddle with policy, but in other side they don’t care meddling with policy. For example, Abdul Baha coveted policy and ordered the Baha’s to be the members of the national council parliament after establishing it in 1333 S.H.

Also at first, he opposed the Constitution and advocated Muhammad Ali Mirza and invited the Baha’is to support him, but after Muhammad Ali Mirza’s downfall, he advocated the constitution as one of the biggest political events of the contemporary history of Iran.

Also, Shoghi was thinking of establishing a universal government for his followers in Seven Stages.
