One of the topic when Abdul Baha was giving a speech in America was his honor to grow a generation being indifferent towards the religious and national prejudices in Iran. Yes, being pride on growing a generation who is against zeal towards hometown and creed in a period of when their country and religion have been attacked.
As he has said: “Now; in Iran, due to Bahaullah’s luminosity, people have been found who;;; haven’t religious bigotry, hometown bigotry and the political bigotry and they are free from all prejudices.[1]”
Yes, being proud on growing a generation against bigotry and zeal towards homeland can be originated from a prostitute person. While according to the divine teachings of Islam, the prejudice which has been originated from believing in God is praiseworthy. As Imam Sadeq (peace be upon him) has stated:
“اِنَّ اللهَ تبارک و تعالی غیور یُحبُّ کُلَّ غَیور لِغَیْرته…”
“God is zealous and loves the zealous men[2].”
Question:
۱- If there weren’t the patriotic prejudice, how would the sacred defense of this land against the Iraqi regime and 80 countries which were supporting it?
۲- How would the Iranian people stand against the European countries and America if there weren’t the political prejudices in the Iranian people?
۳- How would the freedom movement of Imam Hussein be alive after 1440 years if there weren’t the religious bigotry?
