The person’s deprivation of him/herself and his/her identity in the cult occurs in a process called brainwashing more than anything else.
This process is considered as the basis for setting the person’s identity aside. “In the destructive cults; before starting brainwashing, the victim uses various methods of “mind control” and “influence” to the point that he/she accepts his/her character to be distasteful; and evil and must be changed into another one.
Without realizing, he/she has changed step by step. When the victims approach this stage of mind control, most of their personal beliefs and tastes have been changed and they have accepted to be brainwashed.
Consequently; due to brainwashing, the victim sits next to the brainwasher and cooperates with his/her against the character to change it in order to turn into the one asked
The unfortunate victim is forced to form all of his/her behaviors imitating the leader of the cult and the rest daily by negating and losing his/her previous past.
Step by step, the person loses his/her character and doesn’t find the replaced identity.
