The Baha’i commandments part 25
Ina irrational and shaky justification, Abdul Baha has assign the deceased person’s house to the male elder offspring and introduced the elder son as the person who is responsible for investigating the family affairs!
The Baha’i leaders have considered themselves as the innovators of new teachings such as the equality between men and women: “The oneness of men and women is of the teachings of the Excellency Bahaullah.[1]” nevertheless, it is interesting to be noted that the self-proclaimed prophet of Baha’ism has assigned the deceased person’s house to male offspring in his book the Aqdas.[2] Abdul Baha changed the commandment and has considered the deceased person’s house to be assigned to the elder son.[3]
However, Abdul Baha who had as if found out that such commandment is contrary to the slogan of equality between men and women and even human kind of the cult turned to justify it and claimed: “In all divine religious laws, the elder son has had remarkable privileges even the prophethood heritage belonged to him. Along with the privileges give, to the elder son, some duties have been assigned to him; such as the elder son is in all conscience responsible for considering his mother and including other heirs requirements.[4]
Nevertheless, the following notes must be mentioned answering the justification of this commandment of inequality in Baha’ism:
۱- To prove his claim, Abdul Baha has claimed for the prophethood heritage to be assigned to the elder son; but the source of this shaky document is not clear! For instance, was the Excellency Yosof (P.H.) the elder son of the Excellency Jacob (P.H.) who possessed prophethood heritage?!
۲- What is the relationship between this subject and the general subject of heritage which is to be implemented among ordinary people?!
۳- Abdul Baha has repeatedly spoken about the lack of privilege among people: “All people, the divine sheep and the merciful shepherd God is kind with all without any privilege.[5]”
۴- In their proselytizing, the Baha’i proselytizers are introducing their cult as the pioneer of the equality between men and women[6]; while, the self-proclaimed prophet of the cult has practically clarified that the slogan of the equality between men and women is veil by the commandment of the superiority of sons in receiving heritage.
