During Qajar dynasty, the deviant cult of Baha’ism did some destructive measures and the terroristic ones even the abortive assassination of Naseruddin Shah and the contrastive measures against the government after many years of wandering, exile, and running away. However, during the first Pahlavi government, it gained a hope to proselytize and get tranquility and during the second Pahlavi period of time, it could step on extensively influencing on Muhammad Reza Pahlavi aiming the expansion of the cult and strengthening the economic bases of Baha’ism. However; after the Islamic Revolution the confronting people against the deviant cult, there was no place for the cult to grow and expand its influence during the Islamic Republic period of time. So, we can observe that during this period of time, the number of those who turned against Baha’ism increased dramatically and a large number of Baha’is ran away and immigrated to Europe and other parts of the world. Nevertheless those who remained in Iran fomented since the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Ali Reza Rouzbahani said: “During 176-year lifetime of the deviant cult of Baha’ism, this cult has done nothing but betrayal, violence and superstition. The souvenir of Baha’ism hasn’t been beneficial at all across history. Unfortunately, according to Baha’i media, 8 million people are afflicted by the poisonous thought of Baha’ism. Baha’ism cult mustn’t be considered as an ordinary cult and not be known because some think that they are silent and obedient. This is the main problem. Undoubtedly, Baha’ism was actively and continuously present in 1388 sedition and we can observe them in the current sedition now.
This cult has been created many years ago in our country and all kinds of oppositions such as writing books, establishing Mahdism associations and etc. were done to confront against it.
It is clear for everybody for four decades after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran that the Colonialists’ benefits have been gained by disunity and sedition. We shouldn’t forget that none Baha’i minister were active in the cabinet during the second Pahlavi regime; so that the then minster of education was a Baha’i.
Consequently, the trace of Baha’ism cult must be detected in each sedition against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
