At the proper moment of Constitution, Abdul Baha distributed its civil and political epistle anonymously in order to predict the direction of Iranian government and introduce as his correct method.

Abdul Baha’s hypocrisy became apparent when this Baha’i leader has defended the government on the basis of religion in one place and in another opposes it severely!

In a tablet addressing one of his faith disciples called Ibn Asdaq, he says: Distribute the political epistle secretly and anonymously.

Abdul Baha confesses: “Several years ago, this epistle was written due to you and sent due to the king and several authorities and published in India. I sent one of the copies which had been published to Tehran city for the Excellency Ali. All horrible events have been mentioned there.

It his epistle “politics” Abdul Baha attacked clergymen, the religion of Islam and the religious government and introduced the religion of Islam and clergymen as causes of Iranian backward: “All people must obey the government intellectually. The religious heads mustn’t intervene the political affairs. Whenever, the religious scholars meddled with the political affairs, it will damaged totally.”

He introduced the Iranian events as horrible and not publishing his epistle politics as the cause for disobeying the king and the Iranian scholars’ gaining power and sending disaster and spoke about the necessity for explaining the Baha’is viewing this regard: “If the concepts of this epistle were published everywhere, these horrible events wouldn’t be happened and all would rise obeying the fair king, but at that time, the greatest head didn’t pay attention to that epistle and didn’t published the concepts of the epistle, so the scholar took the tenure of office and these disasters happened. Now, awaken these Excellency to know what the Baha’is aims are…[۱]

The Answer:

۱) Not only Abdul Baha, but also the basis of Baha’ism creed believe firmly in establishing a religious government; of course, a Baha’i one.[2] On the other hand, how is it possible for believing in the intervention of religion in policy the agent of the Iranian problems, but obligating themselves to provide the conditions for establishing the Baha’i government?!!!

۲) In his civil epistle, Abdul Baha considered the development of humane civilization as bounden to Islam and assumed the progress of Western communities due to being patterned by the political Islam[3].

As a matter of fact, writes two textbooks based on the information sent by his spies during Constitution time and ask them to distribute without any name in order to predict the Constitution in the future and to introduce it as the correct way of Baha’ism. Abdul Baha’s hypocrisy becomes clear when he defends the government based on religion in one place and in another one, he confronts it severely!!!
