When Abdul Baha received the Knighthood medal, Palestine was one of the lands occupied by the British army and giving this position to a person who wasn’t the citizen of Britain is unjustified.

     Babism and then the heirs of their thought, that is the Baha’is, who are famous for being the followers of the Colonial creed aimed as follows to attack the national religion and identity;

  • Emitting religion out of social domain policy and the government,

     ۲) Justifying Colonialism in the country as the mere factor of development and modernism,

     ۳) Stabilizing the western oriented forces in policy making pillars and decision making ones.

     The Baha’i leaders tried hard to proselytize and preach this cult as the devoted ones of Britain outside the country.

     On Sep. 17, 1918 A.D., General Edmond Alenbi, the commander of British troops started his final attack and dislodged German and Ottoman troops out of Palestine and Syria. From that time on, Palestine was occupied by the British army.

     The conference of the heads of powerful powers in the war was held on 19-26th of April, 1920 A.D. in Italy aimed dividing Ottoman heritage and implementing secret appointment of war time to collapse Ottoman emperor”.

     Several enactments of the conference are as follows: Syria is under the fiduciary of France, Saudi Arabia is turned over Saud dynasty. Palestine and Mesopotamia is under the fiduciary of Britain. Armenia becomes independent, the Ottoman army will be decreased to 50,000 people and the military service will be cancelled in this country. Sea and air forces will be disbanded and etc.

     The facilities for the establishment of the Jewish government in Palestine is one of the most important results of this conference. So, Sir Herber Samuel who was Jewish and was dispatched to this land as the supreme commissar.

     These decisions were made by the victorious powers in the war and weren’t accepted by the Ottoman government.

      Finally; after much pressure, the enactments were imposed to Ottoman king on August, 10, 1920 A.D. and signed.

      The Knighthood medal was given to Abdul Baha on Apr. 27, 1920 and he died on Nov. 28, 1921 A.D. That is, Abdul Baha became Knighthood a day after the conference.

      Why did the British government give Knighthood medal to a person who wasn’t British citizen?

      Giving Knighthood medal indicates that the person who has received has done the most services to foreigners.
